Credit Card Policy
At Valley Patient Urgent Care, we are committed to providing quality care with transparency and convenience. To ensure efficient billing and minimize delays, we require a valid credit card to be kept securely on file for all patients.
Why Do We Request a Credit Card on File?
-
Simplify Billing: Many insurance plans require co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance. A card on file allows us to quickly process any remaining balance after your insurance pays its portion.
-
Faster Service: Keeping a card on file helps us focus on your care instead of billing.
-
Security & Privacy: Your card information is stored in a secure, encrypted system that complies with all HIPAA and PCI-DSS standards.
When Will My Card Be Charged?
We will only charge your card in the following situations:
-
If your insurance applies a deductible, co-insurance, or co-pay not collected at the time of visit.
-
If your visit is not covered or partially covered by your insurance.
-
If you are a self-pay patient and choose to pay by card.
-
For balances not paid within a reasonable time after insurance processing.
You will receive a notice before any charge is made.
What If I Want to Pay Another Way?
You are always welcome to pay your balance using another method (cash, check, or different card). Simply make your payment within the time indicated on your statement before the card on file is charged.
Your Privacy Matters
We use a secure third-party platform to store and process your card. No member of our staff can access your full card number. All information is encrypted and handled with the highest security standards.
